Day 94 / 365 – Photo a Day Project 2023

Another dreich and dreary day, which started with the awful news that my cousin had passed away, and only six weeks after her mum (my aunty) had died. So sad, we had such fun when we were young and I spent lots of time today reminiscing about the fun times we had when we were young when we went with our families on camping holidays twice a year, then when we were older I would go to their house in Manchester – I was a country bumpkin in the big city!

Some of the Victorian pots that I cadged from mum last time I was visiting
1975, happy times camping at Shell Island in Wales, left to right: my brother, my cousin and my aunty – all now passed away, then me and my friend L. What you can’t see is the large wound (16 stitches) on my knee from a motorbike accident two weeks before!

Day 91 / 365 – Photo a Day Project 2023

Well, the 1st April already, I can’t believe how fast the year is going. Covid-wise i’m feeling really good, poor old MisterT is still looking and feeling a bit rough and feeling quite fatigued.

My only photo i took today is one I sent to my Spanish teacher and is the cover of a book i’ve been studying. I’ve been having a Zoom Spanish lesson nearly every week for almost six months now with a fab teacher, Jen. There are three of us in my class and it supplements my Duolingo learning and I have two or three books that i’m also working through. I love learning Spanish!

Day 90 / 365 – Photo a Day Project 2023

Sometimes I get to the end of the day and look through my camera roll to see what photos i have taken that day. Sometimes i’m stuck for choice, other days I have a single random photo taken that day – in today’s case this carton of milk – Norma next door is now covid-free and offered to get some much needed shopping for us and I photographed this and sent to her to let her know which type of oat milk i wanted. Oh well, you’ll have to take the bad with the good hahahaha!

Day 87 / 365 – Photo a Day Project 2023

Well, i’m doing OK, not as bad as I thought I would be, it’s pretty boring to be stuck at home and not be able to go to the Co-op – thankfully Seonaid has very kindly brought us supplies. I’m still a bit bunged up and having pyjama days – i mean, who is going to visit the “plague house” anyway, and i’m not going anywhere. MisterT picked daffs and gorse from the garden and brought inside for me 🙂 Bless him <3

Pyjama day haha!
Daffs and gorse from the garden – my gorse bush grew from a wee cutting from the one I had at my house in Carloway, Lewis 🙂
I still have my birthday and get well cards up on the side, makes me feel more cheerful 🙂
