Our last day at Ardeseir so we had some errands to run. First of all off to the big Tesco on the outskirts of Inverness to stock up on shopping – especially things we can’t get on the island! Later on we did some packing ready for leaving tomorrow.
Today’s image is bit of an abstract, it started with a photo of me looking out into the dark night.
A very busy day with lots to sort out and a friend called by for coffee in the morning and in the afternoon I visited another friend for yet more coffee 🙂 As I arrived home the sun was setting. As it had been the best day for a good while (we had sunshine!) there was a lovely sunset.
Lying in bed around 10pm and realised that I hadn’t taken a photo today! Ooops. Anyway I took a photo of something quite uninspiring – my bedroom curtains – then played with a few apps and blended part of yesterdays image and ened up with this.
Caught MrT as he was coming in from the cold, late afternoon.
My lovely neighbour Norma bought a couple of bunches of tulips round for me. I photographed them and then sat and had a play with the image, collaging it with some stamping from one of my sketchbooks. Nothing like a bit of creativity to take your mind off your worries 🙂 I was pretty happy with the abstract result.
Up early and out and about to do the monthly bird counts at Loch Bee and the South Ford. A very dreich and dreary day, quite breezy and had a wee break at Ardivachar where the Atlantic rollers were crashing in.
Seems like i’m having an abstract week this week so I might as well carry that on as a theme for a few days I think.
Can’t say too much at the moment, but curveballs, you never see them coming do you? Working on an abstract image has kept me out of mischief today.
This week’s theme is Season – Spring
I have to say that it is looking pretty spring-like here in Andalusia compared with the UK who have had lots of cold weather and snow. It has been very windy and rainy here with quite a few thunder storms but it has been warm, usually between 12 and 20C during the daytime so I can’t complain at all!
Visible migration has also been quite amazing some days in between the showers with hundreds of Black Kites and White Storks going over on some days, heading north.
Wow, I can’t believe I’ve done 70 days already, where has all that time gone…
This week i’ve been using the following while working on my project:-
My iPad which I love!!
(note that there is now also a newer model out, the Instax Share SP-3 Printer)
Fujifilm Instax Mini Film – 20 shots
though for my project I have now bought the Fujifilm Instax Mini Film – 100 shots pack to get me started.
The sketchbook I am using for my journal is the square, black Seawhite 140mm x 140mm 140gsm artist’s sketchbook I have bought two of these and using a page a day I reckon each one should last me 6 months.
The above links take you to Amazon UK where there is information about each product. Any purchases made using the links given above will give me a teeny, tiny bit of commission which I will put to good use during future weeks and future projects.
